When picking an MLM company there are a few ways to pick the right fit. When it comes down to it, true success requires work regardless of the business you pick. But you can stack the odds in your favor if you pick a company that is a better fit for yourself.
So here are some ways to pick the right MLM company. These are some of best kept MLM success secrets that I have learned along the way.
Let me also not forget to mention that you must do your own due diligence in any business venture you get involved with. That’s just smart business.
In doing my own due diligence I came across several companies that I were great fits. In the past I typically liked service type companies versus products like powders or pills. But I am currently in a company that promotes products so I guess it all depends.
So without further ado, here are some of my mlm secrets for company selection. You’ll want to ask youself these questions when looking at a company.
1. Is your product related to health, wealth, and love? People seek three things in most things that they do. It is important to understand this as a marketer. These emotional components are very important as people buy emotionally and do things emotionally. Try your best to tie the benefits of product in to these three and it makes product marketing easier and funner. Try to tie in to at least 1 if not all of these 3 things.
2. Are you or can you be passionate about your product? This is very important. If you are going to market it, you have to be passionate about it.
3. The compensation plan. All compensation plans are not that great. In a perfect world you would get 100%, but then you’d have to create, patent and deliver a product. It’s much easier to market someone else’s. Just shoot for a pay out between 40 and 60% commission plan.
4. Market saturation. Is the market place over sold? Benchmark, has the company been exposed to a large percentage of the population. Have over 150 million people heard about this product or company. Most people don’t usually have to worry about this. The DSA (Direct Sellers Association) and Success From Home Magazine are good places to check out businesses.
5. Terms conditions policies and procedures of the company. Does the company have a 90 page manual on things you can not do as a distributor? You want a company that is not to strict, not too lenient and falls in the middle.
6. Does the company have a complete marketing system in place? A system that anyone can plug in to. Do they just want you to pitch your family and friends? This is important to know.
